How To Tell If He Is NOT OVER His Ex

Something that women in the dating arena need to be very careful of is to stay away from guys who are on the rebound, or not over their exes. You may think this is difficult to do because you have to KNOW he’s on the rebound before you can know to stay away from him. However, all it really takes is spending a few minutes talking with him and you’ll find out all you need to know.

One of the first things these guys will do is say something about their ex during the conversation with you. This usually happens within the first five minutes if not sooner. It may be something so seemingly innocent like “My ex always liked to drink strawberry daiquiris, too.” Or “That was my ex’s favorite movie, too.” Now, granted, this may not be a sign that you should run immediately. But if you find that his ex is continually mentioned throughout the conversation, there may be a problem.

Something else to keep an eye out for is the guy who will tell you that, although he is married, or in a relationship with someone, that things are basically over. This is a line that a lot of cheaters use to get women to take them seriously. Now the other problem with this scenario is that there may not even BE a wife or girlfriend anymore but he has an excuse to not become involved in a real relationship with you or any other women.

 If the guy you’re interested in seems to only deal with his ex in extremes, he’s definitely not over her. This is true whether his rage at her transforms him into a new person, or whether he can only seem to sing her praises. Either way she is still the sole focus in his life and, while this is true, there’s no room for a relationship with you, nor will there be until he can move past her.

A man who still has an invisible umbilical cord to his ex is basically still in a relationship whether he wants to admit it or not. There may be valid reasons that he still talks to her frequently. Perhaps they have children together. However, if he’s constantly calling her or taking her calls while he is with you, not only is he not over that relationship but he’s actually being rather rude to you.

When a guy just cannot seem to leave it all behind, there’s still a tie there whether the ex is interested and cares or not. If you find him frequently checking her Facebook page to see what she’s up to and who she’s talking to, there’s a definite problem. He hasn’t let go of her and is nowhere near ready to become involved with you or anyone else. He needs time to grieve for his lost relationship and heal so that he CAN move on.

Do yourself a huge favor. Stay away from these guys because it can never end on a good note.
