Working from Home Can Make You Happy
56So many people are desperately unhappy in their careers or the type of work they do. They dread getting up every morning and making that commute, whether it’s long or short. When it’s a commute to a job you hate, it’s still going to be dreaded. Mondays cause a knot in the pit of your stomach and you become a clock watcher just waiting for time to go home. Believe it or not, you don’t have to live this way. You can be happy with what you do for a living and you can do it happily right from your very own home.
Working from home used to be something of a pipe dream as little as 10 to 15 years ago. There just weren’t that many things that you could do at home and make a living at it. A very few people had been lucky enough to work for a company that started allowing telecommuting for a select few employees. The other home jobs consisted of various types of phone work, and there weren’t THAT many of those around, either.
All of that started to change in recent years and now you can perform job duties or operate a business right from the comfort of your home. There’s even all kinds of advice needed now to organize a home office. That was never something needed before. Some people had an extra room where they kept their computer, or typewriter and other such things that they called an office. This was usually just used for the home owner to pay bills, read the mail and things of that nature. Now, people need offices in their homes so that they can actually work from them.
If you are desperately unhappy with your line of work, stop and take a deep breath. Make a list of all the things you would RATHER be doing to make a living and then narrow that down even more. Now, you will want to separate the pros and cons of each of these ideas. Such things as whether or not a startup cost will be involved or if you’ll need a business license should be taken into consideration. If you come down to liking two of them the same, you will probably want to go with the easier and cheaper one of the two. Once you get one going and making a profit for you, it’s very possible to change over to the other one at a later date.
It does take some determination and perseverance to get things set up, but your motivation should be getting out of that day to day drudgery that you call a job. All it takes now is the desire to work from your home or run your own home based business. Once you make the decision, you’re on your way to being very fulfilled and happy in your work rather than feeling nauseated every day that you have to report for duty.
